3/26/08 (5:43 p.m.) I am pleased to report that the House Committee on Science and Technology has amended a provision in Senate Bill 458 that would have potentially required school systems to accept students from non-accredited school systems. Sneak Preview of National Cathedral Performance!
The Starr's Mill High School Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. John Odom, will perform a concert of sacred music on Thursday, March 27, at PTC First Presbyterian Church at 7 pm. The concert will be a preview of the performance the choir will give at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, in April. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. PTC First Presbyterian Church is located at 206 Willowbend Rd in the heart of Peachtree City.

Governor Perdue Accepts $5 Million Workforce Development Grant from U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Chao
Today Governor Sonny Perdue, along with U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, accepted a $5 million Workforce Development Demonstration Grant from U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao to assist with the planned expansion of Ft. Benning and the transitions of Fort Gillem, Fort McPherson and the Navy Supply Corps School.
