FDR’s Pine Mountain Valley Resettlement Project: The New Deal Commemorative Lecture Series
4/22/08 (10:40 p.m.) Saturday, May 3; 6:30 pm-7:30 pm; Roosevelt’s Little White House Museum; $3 parking; The New Deal began 75 years ago in 1933 and to commemorate this historic event, Dr. John Lupold who will present a lecture on FDR’s Pine Mountain Valley Project. The Pine Mountain Valley Project was established in 1935 as part of the New Deal. The goal of the project was to relocate impoverished families into a planned rural community.
