Road Update

Georgia DOT crews are currently working to clear the roadways, bridges and overpasses throughout the West Central Georgia area as snow and ice is rapidly accumulating on the roadways.
 
The following roads have been reported closed:
 
  • Lamar County – SR 36 between Barnesville and I-75
  • Stewart County – SR 1, 1 lane westbound closed
  • Talbot County – SR 190, closed due to fallen tree
  • Harris County – SR 354 is closed between SR 1 and SR 190 (near Pine Mountain)
 
Georgia DOT crews are currently working to clear the roadways, bridges and overpasses on the following routes where snow and or icing have occurred:
 
  • Taylor County – SR 3 and 96 – plowing and salting icy spots
  • Stewart County – SR 39 –salting bridges
  • Sumter County – SR 27 – scraping road
  • Webster County – SR 41 – scraping road
  • Marion County – all roads starting to ice
  • Peach County – salting all State Routes
  • Dooly County – SR 90 – salting bridges
  • Houston County – salting bridge and ramps at Exit 127, 128, 134
  • Pulaski County – SR 11 - salting road
  • Bibb County – I-75, I-475 and I-16 – salting road, bridges and ramps
  • Monroe County - I-75 – salting road, bridges and ramps; SR 19 – plowing and salting icy spots
  • Twiggs County – I-16 – plowing and salting bridges
  • Butts County – salting all bridges on State Routes
  • Fayette County - salting all bridges on State Routes
  • Henry County - salting all bridges on State Routes and the intersection of SR 138 and SR 42, and the intersection of SR 138 and SR 155
  • Spalding County - salting all bridges on State Routes and SR 92 between Jim Goodsen and Vaughn Road
  • All other counties are experiencing snow and ice accumulation on the roadways. Georgia DOT Crews continue to salt, plow and scrape all interstates and primary state routes.
